Installation Steps

Both MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) can be downloaded for free from their official websites. Below are the installation steps:

Installing MT4:

  1. Access the Official Site: Go to the official MetaTrader website (https://www.metatrader4.com).
  2. Download: Click the “Download” button at the top of the page to download the installer file.
  3. Run the Installer: After downloading, double-click the installer file to run it.
  4. Complete Installation: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. MT4 will launch automatically once the installation is complete.

Installing MT5:

  1. Access the Official Site: Go to the official MetaTrader website (https://www.metatrader5.com).
  2. Download: Click the “Download” button at the top of the page to download the installer file.
  3. Run the Installer: After downloading, double-click the installer file to run it.
  4. Complete Installation: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. MT5 will launch automatically once the installation is complete.

Basic Settings

After installation, basic settings must be configured before starting to trade.

MT4 Basic Settings:

  1. Account Setup: Launch MT4 and create a demo or real account by selecting “Open an Account” from the “File” menu and entering the required information.
  2. Select Trading Server: Choose the trading server provided by your broker from the list and click “Next.”
  3. Customize Chart: Customize the chart appearance by right-clicking and selecting “Properties” to set background color, candlestick color, etc.
  4. Add Indicators: Add necessary indicators to the chart by selecting them from the “Indicators List” on the toolbar and dragging them onto the chart.

MT5 Basic Settings:
